Publishing your first Campaign

In order to display content on the remote player, you need to create a campaign and publish it to a channel the player has been configured with.

Click on Campaign in New Item from Ribbon (Home Tab). This opens up a new Campaign workspace.

A Campaign has several sections: What → what content do you want to display, When → when do you want these contents to be displayed, Where → where do you want the contents to be displayed, Settings → The Name and other properties and configurations for the campaign and History → tracks what has been changed to the campaign, when and by whom.

To enter a name for the Campaign select Settings from the navigation panel on the left of the workspace.

After entering a name for the Campaign in Settings section, click on the What in the navigation panel on the left of the workspace.

This opens up the What section of the Campaign. Add content to the zone playlist from ribbon or from context menu.

Next click on When in the navigation panel on the left of the workspace. This opens up the When section of the Campaign.

Add a schedule to the Campaign. Schedule can be basic or recurrent. Preview the schedule in the calendar view.

Next click on Where in the navigation panel on the left of the workspace. This opens up the Where section of the Campaign.

Assuming that channels have already been created in the project or have been added from domain, they should be available in the Available Channels list.

Select the target channel with which the player has been configured and move it to the Targeted Channels list by clicking on the arrows in the middle of the two panels.

Save the Campaign by clicking the Save button on the Ribbon and then click Publish.

If Campaign publish is successful, a task dialog will notify the user.

Now open the all Campaigns list view (click on Campaigns from Project Explorer). Click on the published Campaign and open the Details View (open Details View from View Tab in ribbon or press Ctrl-E). You can view the progress of the Campaign download for the player in Are We There Yet section of the Details View.

Click on Devices from Project Explorer to view a list of all devices for your project. Select your player and open its Details View.

You can view all active Campaigns playing on this player.
